March 12th Evening
The last day and a half has been pretty good. I felt weighted most of yesterday, but today was very pleasant compared to the last few months. I can tell that I have had some severe muscle loss in my left leg from lack of usage, but overall things were good. I went out and played darts last night with my dart team and felt rather relaxed in doing so. (Of course the few beers that I had may have helped) Today I got caught up the series Men of a Certain Age and checked my work email constantly. The plan for tonight is to join a coworker for a beer and get ready to go back to work tomorrow morning. Its been a good day...have a good night all.

March 11th Morning
Good Morning all, I have been up for a few hours now. Been watching TV while drinking my morning coffee. Things actually feel a bit different today. My legs don't feel as heavy, but there is still something a bit off. I think I may have some muscle loss, but as soon as I can I will start exercising my legs again. It was once the strongest part of my body.
Today's activities are going to include cleaning my car, cleaning the house, and checking in at work to see if anything is going on. If anything interesting happens I will blog about it and let you know.

March 10th Evening
Okay the day went alright. I have felt sick most of the day, but from what I understand this is probable because the 10 days of steroids I just finished basically killed my immune system.
I have felt achy, warm, and have not been able to taste anything for about 3 days. The upside is that I am still able to walk and function better than I was a month ago. In my opinion the side effect is worth the outcome at this time.
Earlier in the day, I did get a call about the medication they are trying to get me on. Hopefully I will be able to start Avonex soon.
I did have a downside today though. I had planned on talking with my doctor more about multiple sclerosis tomorrow, but he has fallen ill himself and now I will not be able to talk with him about this disease before I go visit my family, who I am sure while have questions.
Only than work nothing major has happened today...besides achiness and some pain that was taken away with pain killers. I do welcome any questions that you may have and I will answer them as quickly and honestly as I can. If I don't have an answer I will find a way to refer you to the answer.

Wednesday, March 10th
Today has start off pretty well, aside from waking up every hour to go to the bathroom I actually slept last night. My legs feel heavy this morning and I feel I may be coming down with a cold or something. I actually have to get ready for work this morning, but I will be back on later to explain other things that led up to my diagnosis and how my thought process on life has changed...not the reasons behind it changing, could just be ones of those factors of life, but it may have another reason behind it.

Shawn-Living with MS
So I am new to blogging and not exactly sure what to start with. I am 32 years old and was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis less than a month ago. The onset of this disease was one of the scariest I can think of in my life and I have been through some things.
For those who have MS or are friends of people with MS it can be very scary for the individual because of the changes that occur to the person.
Mine started with simple walking issues that didn't seem to be much of anything. Over a short period of time...a couple months...the numbness, tingling, and stiff feeling started and became more and more intense. A short time later I found myself sleeping more and always tired even after sleeping for 16 hours.
For some, even myself, I thought maybe I was growing depressed, but my job was going well and I really had nothing to be down about other than my mobility declined and I was having trouble maintaining balance with everything I did.
This was the start of my struggle, but is not the end. I have been told to expect good and bad days. I have decided to blog for myself and so that others can get a better understanding of Multiple Sclerosis through my eyes. I had heard of MS, but had no clue about what it was or how it affect people.
I want to do this to raise awareness of MS and how it affects the life of individual with the disease and the ones around them.
All input that you as the reader have to offer is welcome and appreciated, so please post your comments openly and freely.
